Preteaching

Many students who are in the lower 20% of our classrooms have difficulties with attention and/or processing. It is beneficial to the students to add a small "mini-mini" lesson before introducing your mini-lesson to the whole group. Make sure to cover any new vocabulary words that the students could possibly become confused with. You will find that it will save you time after your lesson because there is more understanding overall.
